May 16: Join Chicago AAAYA in Chinatown for the Yale Day of Service

Time:
Prep: 11:30am (Materials and equipment will be distributed at this time). Volunteering: Noon to 4pm
Who: Chicago AAAYA; Chicago Chinatown Chamber of Commerce (CCCC); Yale Club of Chicago; Alderman Danny Solis and Ward 25; and YOU, your family, your friends, your neighbors
What: Yale University’s first annual “Yale Global Day of Service” + CCCC’s first annual “Keep Chinatown Beautiful” kick-off
Where: Alan Lee Square (South Wentworth and West 23rd Street)

Volunteers will help with street clean-up & flower planting on Wentworth Avenue along the sidewalks of a bustling ethnic community.  This is a family-friendly event and all friends of Yale are invited!
Tools & materials will be supplied by the Chinatown Chamber of Commerce & the City of Chicago.
Parking validation will be offered for $2 parking for up to 5 hours. Several parking lots are available near the site.
Average temperature for May 16 is HIGH of 70F and LOW of 50F.
