Participants will delve into the country's economic development over the past 40 years, hearing from expert speakers Susan Shirk of UC San Diego's 21st Century China Center and Feng Wang, a professor of sociology at UC Irvine. The discussion will address the critical role of government policy in shaping the country’s economic trajectory and examine significant internal challenges, such as unemployment, national debt, and evolving economic strategies, as well as the impact of these topics on citizens.
