The AAAYA National Board is excited to announce that this year's Tina E. Yeh Fellowship will go towards supporting Audrey Zhong (YC'24) in her summer internship with the Asian American Federation (AAF) in New York.
Members of AAAYA established the Tina E. Yeh Community Service Fellowship through the Asian Pacific Fund, a community foundation, in memory of Tina E. Yeh ’83. Since the early 1990s, the program has encouraged Yale undergraduates and recent graduates to become involved in community service through summer internships. Our goal is to nurture the leadership development of students and lend support to nonprofit organizations around the country that provide critical services to poor and disenfranchised communities.
At Yale, Audrey studied Political Science with an Advanced Language Certificate in French. She is continuing her studies at NYU this fall in French Studies. She is fluent in French, Mandarin Chinese, and Spanish. In Audrey's own words: As a Small Business Program Intern at the Asian American Federation (AAF), I am excited to work on the economic empowerment team and directly collaborate with two to four small Asian American-owned businesses in NYC. My goals include refining marketing materials and bolstering social media presence, developing innovative community engagement strategies, and spotlighting business success stories.
We are excited to support her meaningful work with AAF and look forward to receiving and sharing her end of summer report. For more information on the fellowship please visit: https://www.aaaya.org/tinaeyehfellowship
